Elizabeth Bauer Chand graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 with her B.A. in Urban Studies and a minor in Spanish. After time abroad in Latin America, she sub-matriculated at Penn and finished with a M.S. in International Development. After working in the non-profit world for some time and the birth of her first child, she enrolled at Chapman University School of Law on a full merit scholarship. She graduated with two special honors. The first was that she earned the award of having the most children during law school (total of three). Second, she graduated summa cum laude with the top grades in Constitutional Law, Federal Tax, Property and Evidence. She also served as Notes Editor of the Chapman Law Review.
After law school she moved with her family and spent nine years in Louisville, Kentucky before returning to her hometown of Tustin, CA in 2011. She is fortunate to practice law with her mother and has focused her practice on trusts, estates and probate. Other than spending time with her four girls and husband at water polo games and orchestra concerts, she enjoys hiking and camping with her family and reading.
Jane Bauer is a recognized Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She began her practice as a solo practitioner 35 years ago after graduating from Western State School of Law. Prior to attending Western State she graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She focuses on tax (personal, fiduciary, corporate, trust and estate), complex trusts and estate matters, trust litigation, probate and corporations. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband Bill of 47 years, her three daughters and eight grandchildren. She also enjoys traveling and attending the theater. It is this idea of legacy that motivates her in the work that she does. Jane takes a practical and personal approach to the law, and perhaps that is why her clients are so loyal, continuing to send generation after generation to her.
